soirry if this is x-posted in the other LJ... but i like it.. and it fits my Diedra mood...

Outside in the garden, now grey from the multitude of pre-winter frosts , the last rose to withstand the cold was begining to brown. Just by chance she decided to go outside and check the condition of the weather. Walking past the crumbling bush, at first without even noticing it, she turned to see it and became encaptured by its bleak beauty. Surrounded by the dead and dying roses, the single rose shone with more brilliance than any other living creature she had ever seen. Reaching towards it with her slender and shaking hand, a thorn pricked her finger and the blood started to run slowly across her outstretched appendage. At first she didnt feel it, of course nowadays she didnt feel much. He left her numb and void of all pains, the good and the bad. It had been almost three months since he finally left her completely broken and now instead of feeling the hurt of his final departure, she was entirely empty of all emotions. He had taken her apart piece by piece and ripped her existence apart and she kept going back for more. Her blood still ran cold when she thought of the best times in her life, which incedentaly happened to be the most destructive. He made her feel alive when her heart had slowed to a dull roar of its former whimper. She made him. It was a take-take relationship, with both sides feeding off of the pain and insecurities of the other side. The little red trail ringing around her finger made her whole hand tingle. Just watching the crimson liquid gave her a warm feeling inside, proof that she was still alive. Her heart still pushed the little bitty cells through the skiny viens. It hurt to feel it beating.

Did you ever look, did you ever see that one person,
and the subtle way that they do these things and it hurts so much?
So much like choking down the embers of a great blaze.
It's that moment when your eyes seem to spread aspersions
and to scream confessions at the insipid sky parting clouds.
You let this one person come down in the most perfect moment.
And it breaks my heart to know the only reason you are here now is
A reminder of what I'll never have
I'll never have... I'll never...
Standing so close knowing that it kills me to breathe you in.
Standing so close knowing that it kills me to breathe you in.
But this table for one has become bearable.
I now take comfort in this, and for this, I cherish you.
Did you ever look, did you ever see that one person
and the subtle way that they do these things and it hurts so much?
So much like choking down the embers of a great blaze.
It's that moment when your eyes seem to spread aspersions
and to scream confessions at the insipid sky parting clouds.
And you let this one person come down, come down.
I cherish you...I cherish you.
Just say you would do the same for me.
Just say you would do the same for me.
Say you would do the same...
Just say you would do the same for me.
For as much as I love Autumn,
I'm giving myself to Ashes.

Sorry about that being so long but I totally love that song cuz it kicks massive amounts of ass. Anyway I thought that in the deep boredom of my soul I could possibly write a story in here for you all. Or at least a part of one.

A long, long time ago in a time that I can hardly remember, there was a small child who lived on the end of my block His parents were so over-protective that no one ever saw him. They  never let the poor boy outside even to play in the dirt. "Bugs might crawl into your skin and eat you alive from the inside" they told him. Some claimed when they walked past the house they would catch a brief glance of the boy staring out the window yearning to play. When his tight and proper parents went out a strange car would pull into the drive-way and an old lady would slowly climb out. Her twisted cane would help her up and her legs would shake under thier old pantyhose. Her dresses looked like old draperies cut out and hung on her. Her hair would be bound up tightly in a white bun so tightly that not one hair would go astray. The old womans face was that of a dogs, saggy and droopy. Those who got close enough said she reeked of perfume from lost civilizations and must. Slowly the old woman would enter the house and after a few minutes the thin and upright parents would leave the house for hours. Their noses would be high in the air as if they were trying to sniff god down from heaven.  After they zoomed off the house would be silent until the parents returned and the eccentric lady would leave. Although there was this one time. Once, on a normal adverage day, the old lady pulled into the drive-way, and slowly made her way inside. After the normal wait the parents left and the house was quiet. People walked in the streets heading towards the store to pick up some groceries or street corners to see friends. Everyone turned frightened toward the house at the sound of a piercing scream. A small shadow dashed from the house. Silence swept the street as the boy ran up the road. Did he know where he was going? Where did he have to go? No one knew and everyone was concerned. Neighbors walked the streets all night trying to find the boy but no one could find him. When his parents returned home they found the old lady on the floor and their son gone. They soon died of heartache and loss. The boy was never seen again. Some say he went to his real home and played in the dirt all day. Others say that he's in the woods east of the little town playing with all the bugs. No one knows but everyone is concerned.

Once upon a time there was a girl who was lonely. She looked out of the windows and found nothing was there to comfort her. The grass withered away and died. The birds flew to so beautiful far off land. It didnt even rain, beacuase sometimes, rain can be quite beautiful....
